Sunderkand and recitation of Hanuman Chalisa
The ancient Hanuman temple built at Dussehra Ghat near Taj Mahal is crowded with devotees every Saturday and Tuesday. Mahant Balram Pandey of the temple told that Sunderkand and Hanuman Chalisa are recited here on Tuesday and Saturday. He said that Taj Mahal is just a few steps away in front of the temple. The echoes of Hanuman Chalisa and Sunderkand are also heard on the walls of Taj Mahal. He said that puja is done here in the morning and evening. Devotees from nearby areas come here. There are hundreds of monkeys around the temple, which people feed.

The British also visit this ancient Hanuman temple near the Taj Mahal. Priest Balram Pandey tells that in front of the temple is the Taj Mahal, which even foreigners come to see.
