Big revelation in Ayodhya’s lab: SP Rural’s report revealed fraud, Health Department seals the lab

Ayodhya: A case of a pathology lab giving wrong medical report to a senior police officer has come to light in Ayodhya, UP. This incident has not only raised questions on the credibility of health services, but has also exposed the reality of many pathology units running without permission in the city. After the shocking facts revealed in the investigation, the Health Department has sealed the concerned lab.

Case opened due to wrong report received by SP Rural
A wrong report of HBA1C sugar test was given to SP Rural Balwant Chaudhary by the main branch of Lal Path Lab located at Rikabganj in Ayodhya city. When he showed this report to his doctor, the doctor was also surprised. When there was doubt, the SP decided to get the test done again and got the test done again in the same lab. The second report received just two hours later was completely different from the first report. Seeing such a huge difference between the two reports, he immediately lodged a complaint in this regard with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Health department team raided, many flaws exposed
As soon as the complaint was received, CMO Dr. Sushil Kumar Baniyan formed a team of the Health Department and sent the investigation team to the lab under the leadership of Nodal Officer Dr. Rajesh Chaudhary. When the team inspected the lab, shocking irregularities came to light. Investigation revealed that a total of five employees were working in the lab, out of which only one employee was authorized. The remaining four employees were found working without any recognition. This is a serious violation as per the rules. On the basis of investigation, the Health Department completely sealed the lab and directed the operator Dr. Hariom Gupta not to tamper with the seal in any way until the investigation is completed.

Trap of illegal pathology in the city, common people are becoming victims
Ayodhya is full of pathology and blood test centres. Many such centers are running in every street without permission, which are misleading people in the name of medical examination. Educated and conscious people try to stay away from them, but common people often get trapped in their clutches. When this matter came to light, a serious question was raised as to how many years this pathology had been operating and how many people would have got tested here till now. The mind gets disturbed just thinking what would have been the result of the treatment based on those wrong reports.

Investigation continues, possibility of many more revelations
This big fraud has come to light due to the vigilance of SP Rural. Now the investigation will find out for how long the lab was giving wrong reports, and who all are involved in it. It is also possible that after this investigation, action may be taken against other illegal pathologies in the city as well.
