Railways canceled many puja special trains including Saharsa-Anand Vihar, Purnia Court-Anand Vihar, Gwalior-Barauni from November 29 to December 29, passengers will get full refund. However, due to this, those passengers who have made reservations in these trains may face problems. Railways has appealed to the passengers to check the schedule of trains before leaving home.
Gorakhpur. Railways suddenly canceled many puja special trains. Due to this, passengers may face problems. These trains were scheduled to run on December. Due to this, the problems of thousands of passengers going from Bihar to Delhi, Rishikesh and Madhya Pradesh have increased. In these, trains have been canceled completely or partially. Railways has appealed to the passengers to check the schedule of trains before leaving home.
According to Indian Railways, Saharsa-Anand Vihar Terminus (05575/05576), Purnia Court-Anand Vihar Terminus (05579/05580), Gwalior-Barauni (04137/04138), Hasanpur Road-New Delhi (04097/04098) and Muzaffarpur-Yog Nagari Rishikesh (04313/04314). Services of many trains including puja special) have been cancelled.
These trains will remain canceled between 29th November and 29th December. Passengers say that holidays and wedding season is going on in December, hence sudden cancellation of trains can cause problems. Many people had booked tickets in advance, now they will either have to travel by expensive private vehicles or find space in other trains at the last moment.
Railways has clarified that passengers who have booked tickets for these canceled trains will automatically get full refund. For refund, the help of PRS counter or IRCTC website or app can be taken. The railway administration has requested the passengers to check the train status on IRCTC website, NTES app or helpline 139 before travelling. Railways said that every effort is being made to normalize the situation soon. At present, the biggest concern of the passengers is whether the Railways will run any alternative special train in place of these canceled trains or not. No official announcement has been made on this yet.
