Shimla Sanjauli Masjid: Due to fear of any untoward incident, police force has been deployed on the mosque dispute in Sanjauli, Himachal Pradesh on Friday. At the same time, the Waqf Board has approached the High Court in this matter, because the District Court has also declared the entire mosque illegal and has ordered its demolition.

Shimla. Tension was seen again on Friday regarding Sanjauli Mosque in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. A large number of police forces were deployed outside Sanjauli Masjid. Here, police personnel were deployed on all three roads leading to the mosque. Shimla’s DSP himself has reached the spot to take charge. At the same time, the much talked about Sanjauli Masjid case has now reached the High Court and the Waqf Board has challenged the decision to demolish the mosque.
On the other hand, despite warnings from Hindu organizations, namaz was offered in the mosque. When the Maulvi refused, some people returned without offering Namaz and some offered Namaz. Riyasat Ali, who came to offer namaz, said that the matter is in the High Court and we do not consider the mosque illegal. Now more people will come to offer namaz.
Actually, the much talked about Sanjauli Masjid case of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh is not stopping. The matter has now reached Himachal High Court. The case will be heard shortly today. The Waqf Board has filed a petition in the High Court against the order to demolish the Sanjauli Masjid. A division bench of Justice Vivek Singh Thakur and Justice Romesh Verma will hear the case.
On the other hand, Hindu Sangharsh Samiti’s ongoing movement against Sanjauli Masjid has entered its eleventh day. Friday prayers are to be held on Friday. Meanwhile, Hindu Sangharsh Samiti leader Vijay Sharma has made it clear that he has put the ball in the court of the administration and the Muslim community. Today Hindu Sangharsh Samiti will not stop anyone from offering Namaz. If the prayers are offered, the issue will be raised in the meeting with the district administration to be held on Saturday. He has appealed to the Muslim community not to come to Sanjauli Masjid to offer namaz to maintain mutual harmony.
Chaos for three weeks
For the last three weeks, Hindu organizations have again become vocal regarding Sanjauli Masjid. There is protest against Friday prayers here. On November 14, Hindu organizations had protested against Naman here and then a case was registered against six people for creating ruckus. Similarly, last Friday also a protest was held in Sanjauli.
