Amit Thakur of Araria left his labor in Delhi and started the business of a pulverizer mill in his village. He bought a machine worth ₹2.5 lakh and now he is earning lakhs sitting at home. Amit, who prepares 500-600 kg of paddy straw every day, has proved that one can earn good money by living in the village even at low cost.
Araria: It has been proven that even living in a village, good income can be earned every month from small business. Amit Thakur of Koskapur village in Araria district of Bihar is a shining example of this, who has changed his life by starting the business of Chuda Chakki (making Chuda from paddy).
Earlier, Amit Thakur used to work as a laborer in cities like Delhi-Mumbai, but about three years ago an idea changed his direction. While talking to Local 18, he told that he had seen about this business on YouTube in Delhi itself, after which he decided to return to the village and start this work.
Investment of ₹2.5 lakh, earning of lakhs
Amit bought a four-faced Chuda grinding machine from Forbesganj market for ₹ 2 lakh 50 thousand. After the initial investment, this business has now become a source of income worth lakhs of rupees for them.
Amit, who used to work as a laborer earlier, is now earning ₹2 to ₹3 lakh in a season just sitting at home. He told that he charges ₹ 6 per kg and prepares Chuda from 500 to 600 kg of paddy on an average every day.
The mill runs continuously, customers come every day
Chuda mill business has proved to be a sustainable option. Once the money is spent on the machine, customers keep coming, which ensures daily earnings. Amit Thakur says that due to good availability of electricity in the village, he has to work both day and night. Every day 200 to 300 people come to thresh paddy straw, due to which their business continues to run.
