Pakistan's accounts, anti-India talks... BJP made big allegations on Congress

BJP has once again made serious allegations against Congress and especially Rahul Gandhi. The party claims that the opposition’s social media team is busy creating a narrative against India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi from foreign soil. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said in a press conference on Thursday that foreign accounts and people sitting abroad prepare “anti-India material” for the Congress, which is damaging the country’s image.

Sambit Patra said that this matter is no longer just about political differences, but about a deliberate attempt to defame India with the help of foreign powers. He alleged that since 2014, the Congress leadership, especially Rahul Gandhi and his core team, has been leaving no stone unturned in running a “campaign” against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

People sitting abroad are running the narrative of Congress

Patra said that wherever Rahul Gandhi goes, he speaks against India. He claimed that people sitting in Bangladesh, Pakistan, South-East Asia, America and Europe, who have no direct connection with India, campaign for Congress on social media and harm India’s image. He said, this is not just the politics of the opposition, this is a planned narrative war coming from abroad. Rahul Gandhi has given the contract to defame India to the foreign ecosystem.

BJP’s claim based on new feature of X

Sambit Patra said that the new feature of social media platform X tells which account is being operated from which country. Giving the example of BJP, he said that BJP’s official account, Amit Malviya’s account and his own account, all three are showing the location of India. After this, citing the accounts of Congress leaders, he alleged that “many people are not sitting in India but are running accounts from abroad.”

INC Maharashtra’s account was earlier showing Ireland, but after the feature came in, it changed the location.
INC Himachal’s account is showing as India, but it appears to be linked to a Thailand-based Android app.
Patra said – All this is not a coincidence, but “it is a systematic propaganda run from abroad.”

Allegations of foreign creators and fake narrative

BJP spokesperson said that recently a creator named Arpit Sharma had made a video on alleged “vote theft”, but his account is being operated from Europe. According to Patra, such videos raise questions on India’s electoral system and harm the country’s credibility. Referring to the second incident, he said that fake photos and false claims were spread from a Singapore account about the arrest of the Indian Election Commissioner. He said, whatever narrative Congress speaks in India, these accounts running from abroad amplify the same things. This is a worrying pattern.
