SIR Campaign: Amidst the political controversy regarding SIR campaign in Bihar, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary made it clear that strict action will now be taken against infiltrators. He said that the claim of removing names from the voter list is wrong. Any person who is not able to prove citizenship will be deported from the country. The government claims that this step is necessary for security and law and order.
Patna: Politics has intensified regarding the ongoing SIR (Special Identity Review) campaign in Bihar. Meanwhile, Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary has given a big statement. He has clearly said that the government is going to take strict action against the infiltrators. This campaign will not be stopped under any circumstances. Deputy CM said that many people from West Bengal are trying to come and settle in Bihar. Because SIR campaign is going on there also. The government has made it clear that the police is keeping a close watch on such people. Action will be taken if needed.
Till now not a single person’s name has come forward
Samrat Chaudhary termed that allegation of the opposition wrong. In which it was said that the names of 70 lakh voters in Bihar have been removed from the voter list. He said that such a large number of names are being claimed to be removed, but till now not a single person has come forward who has proved that he is a citizen of India and his name has been removed wrongly. He said that Rahul Gandhi roamed all over Bihar, but did not find even a single person who claimed that he was a citizen. His name was misspelled. This is just an attempt to spread confusion.
The government is investigating the name of each person
The Deputy CM further said that now the government is investigating each and every person whose name has been removed by the Election Commission. Those who will not be able to prove themselves as citizens will be marked and thrown out of the country. He claimed that some people from West Bengal are trying to come and settle in Bihar because SIR is going on there. The police have complete surveillance on such people. If necessary, action will be taken against them.
Infiltrators will be driven out
Giving a clear message, he said that those who are not claiming that they are citizens of India will have to go. The government will take this campaign forward and the infiltrators will be driven out. Samrat Chaudhary also refused to link this issue with religion. He said that the NDA government treats everyone equally. While giving ration, we do not ask whether someone is a Hindu or a Muslim. Then why does this question arise while voting?
We are all descendants of Ram
He described Indian culture as the identity of unity and said that we are all descendants of Ram. If anyone has doubts about his identity then he should go to Indonesia, which has the largest Muslim population, yet Lord Ram is worshiped there. This statement of the Deputy CM has further intensified the debate that started regarding the SIR campaign. The government is presenting it as an effort related to security and citizenship, while the opposition is calling it an action to spread fear among the public.
