This new video of the Venezuelan army is not just an exercise but an open warning to America. Maduro government is on full alert mode after threats from Donald Trump. This drill is considered to be a preparation to directly respond to the American attack. In the video, the army is practicing to stop ‘sea-borne invasion’ i.e. attack through sea route. Experts believe that Venezuela fears that America may attack through its navy. Trump has said many times that regime change is necessary in Venezuela. Trump had also indicated that all options were open against Venezuela. Its direct meaning is also being derived from military action. In view of this threat, the Venezuelan army has geared up. This drill is part of that strategy. The Maduro government wants to show that if America makes any audacity, it will have to pay a heavy price. In a way, this video is also a part of psychological warfare. In this video the Venezuelan army has demonstrated its most deadly weapons. Soldiers are manning the front with RPGs, machine guns and howitzers. They are using mobile units so that the enemy can be surrounded in any corner. The focus of the drill is on coastal defence. That is, if the American Marine or Navy tries to land on the coast, then it should be eliminated there. Venezuela has made it clear that it will go to any extent to protect its sovereignty.
