The internal conflict going on within the India Alliance has once again come to the fore. Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) MP Supriya Sule openly praised Nitish Kumar’s political understanding and administrative experience, and also indirectly targeted the working style of Rahul Gandhi and Congress.
The results of Bihar assembly elections have created a stir in the politics of the entire country. The voices of introspection are loud within the parties included in the INDIA Alliance and many leaders have openly said that the alliance needs to rethink its strategy, leadership and mutual coordination. Meanwhile, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) MP Supriya Sule not only praised Nitish Kumar but also raised questions on Congress regarding SIR. He said, NDA got victory in Bihar in the name of Nitish Kumar, Congress is still doing SIR-SIR. This was indirectly a question on Rahul Gandhi who is repeatedly raising the issue of SIR. This is also like scratching the wounds of Congress, because it was because of Congress that Nitish Kumar was forced to leave India Alliance.
need to look within yourself
Supriya Sule clearly said that the real reason for NDA’s victory in Bihar is the leadership of Nitish Kumar, and the INDIA alliance needs to learn from this victory and look within itself. This statement of his also has political meaning because when Nitish Kumar was a part of India Alliance, then the talk of making him the coordinator of India Alliance was raised, but due to the stubbornness of Congress leaders, the relationship broke down and ultimately Nitish Kumar went with BJP.
Congress stuck on SIR
Politically, Supriya Sule’s statement clearly means that Congress is still stuck on SIR, whereas India Alliance should focus on bigger national issues and election strategy. Sule’s argument was that the alliance’s stand, message, and campaign did not work well in Bihar and Congress should be the first to understand this. This statement is special because recently there was a lot of resentment in the opposition camps regarding Nitish Kumar returning to NDA and playing a central role again. But Sule’s statement indicates that acceptance of personal leadership still matters a lot in politics.
