Bilaspur News: Congress’s Hallabol movement took a violent turn in Bilaspur. A fierce clash broke out between the police and Congress workers during the siege of the Collectorate office. When the situation worsened, the police used Vajra vehicle, after which scuffle and tension increased between the two sides. Congress workers had reached the Collectorate to protest against the bad condition of roads, alleged robbery in electricity bills, chaos in paddy procurement and stopping of registry. The protest that started from Nehru Chowk now turned into a tense atmosphere outside the Collectorate premises.
