After the new government in Bihar, preparations are on to take major action against criminals. DGP Vinay Kumar said that the proposal to confiscate the property of 400 mafia and criminals has been sent to the court. Another list of 1208 people is being prepared, whose property will also be confiscated after the court order. Earlier, Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary has announced to implement the policy of zero tolerance on crime, mafia and molestation of women.
Patna: The atmosphere has changed after the formation of the new government in Bihar. Big decisions are being taken one after the other to improve law and order. In this regard, state DGP Vinay Kumar has indicated to take major action. He has told that to crack down on the money earned from crime, the police has prepared a complete file of 400 people. Also this file has been handed over to the court. These include land mafia, sand mafia and many notorious criminals. It is alleged that all of them have created wealth worth crores through illegal business.
DGP said that the complete report, evidence and documents of these 400 people have been handed over to the court. As soon as the order is received from the court, their property will be confiscated immediately. This is considered to be the biggest action ever taken against the mafia network in Bihar.
New list of 1208 people also ready
He also revealed that another list of 1208 people is being prepared. In this also there are large scale land mafia, criminals, sand mafia and people involved in illegal business. A case will be made against them and all the documents will soon be handed over to the court. After the permission of the court, the government will also take action against their property.
There will be no concession for criminals
In the review meeting, the DGP clearly said that Bihar Police will not spare the criminals under any circumstances. Ending the rule of mafia is the priority of the government. He said that strict steps will be taken at every level to strengthen law and order and if necessary, even bigger action will be taken.
Zero tolerance mode of the new government
On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Samrat Chaudhary also gave a strict message as soon as he took over the ministry that now ‘zero tolerance’ policy will be implemented in Bihar on crime, bullying and misbehavior with women. He said that by strengthening Nitish Kumar’s good governance model, direct action will be taken against the criminals.
Mafia is being continuously identified
According to reports received from across the state, mafia has been identified in many districts. These include land mafia, liquor mafia, extortion gangs, arms smugglers and criminals growing up under political protection. Special surveillance is also being increased in jails, so that no crime can be carried out from there.
