Because of this, new birds come to settle here. Along with this, big birds also become extinct. Kadwa Diara of Navgachia in Bhagalpur is famous for Garuda breeding area. Although nests are seen at different places every day, Kadwa has become the largest breeding area. Environmental expert Tapan Ghosh said that a few years ago, Garuda was found here in very small numbers and people did not even know this area very well. There has been a sudden increase in the number of Garuda here.
Peepal trees and Kadam trees are favorite places
It is said that big Peepal trees and Kadam trees are found in Kadwa, on which birds reside. They can easily build nests in these trees for reproduction. According to Tapan Ghosh, due to the presence of Ganga and Kosi area, Garuda gets adequate amount of food. Garuda’s favorite food is fish, snakes and big rats. If we talk about the recent past, the reproduction rate here has increased so much that where there used to be 10 to 20 eagles, now 300 to 400 eagles are found. When its breeding time comes, eagles arrive here and build bigger nests. Arrangements for this are also made by environment lovers and the forest department.
