The father told the court that the condition of his son Harish is continuously worsening and now he cannot bear to see more pain.
Noida: The Supreme Court has given a big order while hearing the euthanasia case. The court has directed the Noida district hospital to immediately constitute a primary medical board to examine the possibility of passive euthanasia in the case of Harish Rana. Harina Rana is 100 percent disabled and is bedridden for more than 12 years. Let us tell you that Harish Rana was a student of Punjab University. In the year 2013, he fell from the fourth floor of his PG. His head got injured due to the fall. Since then he is continuously in bed and dependent on ventilator.

After the report comes, we will pass further orders. This process should be completed within two weeks.
Let us tell you that Harish’s parents had also demanded passive euthanasia from the Supreme Court in the year 2024. On November 8 last year, the Supreme Court had considered the report of the Union Health Ministry, which had suggested that home care be provided to the patient with the help of the Uttar Pradesh government. The Supreme Court had then said that if care at home is not possible then admission to Noida District Hospital should be done. On Wednesday, lawyer Rashmi Nandkumar, appearing on behalf of the father, told the court that every possible effort has been made and she is also grateful for the assistance given by the state government, but the situation is not improving.
