Dipika vs Katrina Company: While Deepika Padukone’s company is facing continuous losses, the brand value of Katrina Kaif’s company seems to be reaching around Rs 100 crore.
New Delhi. Two big Bollywood actresses started their own businesses almost at the same time. The amazing thing is that both of them had tried their hand in the same field. But, by the year 2025, one has suffered huge losses in business while the other’s business is continuously growing towards sky heights. Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has revealed that her company has suffered a loss of Rs 12.3 crore in the year 2025, while the valuation of Katrina Kaif’s company has increased to Rs 100 crore.
Deepika Padukone’s mid-premium skin care brand 82°E has informed the Corporate Ministry that her company has suffered a net loss of Rs 12.3 crore in the financial year 2024-25. Not only this, his company brand value has also fallen from Rs 21.2 crore in 2024 to Rs 14.7 crore in 2025. On the other hand, another Bollywood star Katrina Kaif’s company is continuously making profits. The brand value of his company has also increased to more than Rs 100 crore.
Deepika’s company is continuously struggling
Deepika Padukone’s brand has been struggling and making losses since its launch in November 2022. He also did cost cutting to reduce the burden on the company, but no effect was seen. Although their losses have reduced this year as compared to last year, the process of losses has not stopped even today. His company had to suffer a huge loss of Rs 23.4 crore last year. His company also played the gamble of cost cutting and spent only Rs 25.9 crore in the year 2025, which was Rs 47.1 crore last year. Not only this, the company also reduced its expenditure on marketing from Rs 20 crore in 2024 to just Rs 4.4 crore in 2025. Despite this, leave alone profits, it has still not been able to recover even from losses.
Why is the company continuously in loss?
Deepika had launched all the products of her brand 82°E in the mid-premium range, which ranges from Rs 2,500 to Rs 4,000. He used his social media influence and star power to promote his brand. Not only this, he also ran the brand’s campaign on his Instagram account with 8 crore followers. Also used a face like Shahrukh Khan. During the promotion of her movie Jawan, Deepika had heavily promoted the products of her brand 82°E. However, despite all these efforts, their brand is facing tough competition from products like Foxtale, mCaffeine, Plum and Dot & Key. This brand provides quality skin care products, which are also cheaper than Deepika’s brand.
Katrina’s brand is touching the sky
On the other hand, Katrina Kaif’s brand is growing rapidly without competing with Deepika. Her beauty brand Kay Beauty was launched in the year 2019. Katrina’s company came into profit for the first time in the year 2022 and after that never looked back. The report shows that in the year 2025, the brand value of his company has increased to Rs 88.23 crore. Apart from this, the company has also made a net profit of Rs 11.3 crore.
