His method is simple and the murabba gives a homemade desi taste.
easy method of making murabba
Talking to Local 18, Kiran Mishra says that first of all it is very important to choose fresh and green gooseberries, because these decide the taste of the murabba. After this, the gooseberry is lightly pierced with a sharp object (Gonda) and then put in a sugar syrup and kept. After this, the mixture of gooseberry and sugar is taken out in a big vessel and kept for three-four days. By this time, Amla Murabba is ready to eat.
Kiran Mishra tells that it is very important to wash the gooseberries thoroughly, separate them with any kind of stain and mash them with a spoon having a steel fork. Keep in mind that while gluing, do not use an iron spoon at all. Only after kneading the gooseberry, it is put in the syrup. He further told that one and a half kilo sugar is added to one kilo of Amla and small green cardamom or powder is added for taste.
Two ways to taste like the market
Kiran Mishra tells that Amla Murabba can be prepared at home in two ways, due to which its taste becomes exactly like that of the market.
First method: After gluing the gooseberry, place it in a vessel and pour sugar on top. Then cook it for some time on low flame.
Second way: First wash the Indian gooseberry and mash it with a steel spoon. Then put it in prepared sugar syrup and leave it for 24 hours. In this way also the marmalade becomes tasty and market like. Kiran Mishra tells that murabba should always be prepared on sugar syrup of one string, due to this its taste remains even better.
Amla murabba prepared at home in this simple and traditional way is not only good in taste, but is also considered beneficial for health.
