Virbal Shah, a farmer from Gidwas in Araria district, has been selling vegetables for 20 years. He told that he sells vegetables from his bike. Virbal does not need a lot of capital to do his work. As far as earnings are concerned, they earn well in a year. Virbal also shared his way of earning with us.
Virbal Shah, a resident of Gidwas in Araria district, told in a special conversation with Local 18 that at present cauliflower is being sold at the rate of Rs 40-50 per kg. They go to the big market in the local market on their TVS Scooty and sell cauliflower to big shopkeepers. According to him, the farmers here earn very good income in a very short time by cultivating cauliflower.
At the same time, Virbal buys different types of vegetables from farmer’s fields in different seasons. He told that after this they go to village houses in Araria district and sell it. Apart from this, he also sells these vegetables at many shops. According to him, the earning per kg is sometimes around Rs 5-10 and sometimes up to Rs 10-15. He travels 30-50 kilometers daily.
According to Virbal, he earns more than Rs 2 lakh in a year by selling different types of vegetables in the market and rural areas during the season. He told that apart from this, he also does farming in his fields on his three acres of land. Including this, we earn an income of more than Rs 5 lakh in a year.
