Maoists Surrender: Chhattisgarh security forces have again achieved major success against Maoist violence. 41 Maoists have surrendered in Bijapur. Before this, 28 Naxalites had also surrendered in Narayanpur. At the same time, security forces have intensified the search for ‘Abhay’.
Bijapur News: The effect of the rehabilitation policies of the government is beginning to be seen in the Naxal affected areas of Chhattisgarh. On Wednesday, 41 Maoist cadres surrendered and abandoned the path of violence in Bijapur district. These include 12 women and 29 men, on whom a total reward of Rs 1 crore 19 lakh was declared. Those who surrendered include members of PLGA Battalion-01, area committee party members, militia commanders and 39 Maoist chiefs of the South Sub Zonal Bureau.
Who is writing the letter in Abhay’s name?
On the other hand, another important turning point has come in the Maoist organization. Venugopal alias Sonu, who issued the letter under the name ‘Abhay’, had already surrendered. Even after that, letters are being issued in the name ‘Abhay’, which has created panic among the security forces. Bastar IG has issued an alert to all the security teams. Information about the second ‘Abhay’ is being sought from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Police. The IG warned, “The person who issued the letter in Abhay’s name should surrender immediately, otherwise the consequences will be dire. Abhay’s name is now dead.”
28 had surrendered in Narayanpur
Let us tell you that the security forces had achieved great success in Narayanpur district also. On Monday, 28 Naxalites of Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) surrendered. All of them were active in the dense forests of Abujhmad. According to police officials, search operations and patrolling had been increased for the last few months, due to which the Naxalites were forced to move out of safe havens. The ‘Poona Margame’ policy inspired them to adopt the mainstream. Those who surrender will be provided rehabilitation facilities under government schemes, which include employment training, housing and financial assistance.
These surrenders are giving new momentum to the campaign against Naxalism. Experts related to Naxalite matters believe that continuous pressure and rehabilitation policies together are weakening the Naxalite organizations. The government has announced that the surrendered cadres will be given a respectable place in the society. This process of peace is gaining momentum in Bastar region, which is opening the doors of development.
