Tangri river will not become a problem for the people, work of deepening the river has started.

Ambala: Even today, people have not been able to recover from the devastation caused by the Tangri River in Ambala district of Haryana after heavy rains in the hilly area in the last few months, because after the rains, there was huge devastation due to the swelling of the rainy river (Tangri River) in Ambala district, due to which people had to suffer a lot. In such a situation, now the work of deepening the Tangri river has been started and today Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij went to Chandpura area of Ambala Cantonment and started the work of deepening the river and directed the officials to complete this work soon.

Work to deepen Tangri river started

When the team of Local 18 talked to the local people about this, they told that in the last few months, there was a lot of water in the Tangri River this time, due to which the people living in the surrounding areas had suffered a lot. Local resident Vikas Chauhan said that today the work of deepening the Tangri river has been started, which will benefit many areas of Ambala including Chandpura, Sarsehari. He told that today the work of deepening the Tangri river by about 8 feet near Chandpura area has started, which will greatly benefit the local people during the rainy season.

Will get relief from flood water

He told that every time the water level in Tangri river increases due to which the surrounding areas get submerged and people suffer loss worth lakhs of rupees. But now due to deepening of Tangri river and construction of dam nearby, the water level of Tangri river will be stopped. With this, local areas will be saved from flood situation. Kunal told that in the past, the water level of Tangri river had increased due to which a lot of water had entered the houses of the people in his area, in such a situation, he had to face a lot of trouble, but today Minister Vij has given him a big gift and now the work of building a dam around the Tangri river is being done, which will give him a lot of benefit in the coming days and for this he also thanks the administration.

Earthen dam will stop water

Nominated Councilor Madanlal Sharma said that the work of deepening the Tangri River has been started today, due to which now the water of Tangri River will not enter the surrounding areas and people will benefit from it. He told that an earthen dam will also be built near the Tangri river, so that even if the water level rises, it will not stop beyond the dam and move ahead. In this regard, Minister Anil Vij said that from today the work of deepening the Tangri river has been started again, which will be deepened by 8 feet from Ramgarh Majra to Jagadhri Road and an 11 feet high dam will be built. He told that the work of deepening it and building a dam has been given to three agencies.
