A woman named Pooja was caught stealing a mobile phone at Prayagraj station. RPF’s Kusum Yadav showed alertness and arrested him red-handed. The woman was arrogant at first, but later her attitude softened. During investigation, an object hidden in the clothes was found, which revealed the whole secret. Investigation is ongoing.
Prayagraj. A madam was spreading her murderous style on platform number one of Prayagraj. She was repeatedly passing among the passengers on some pretext or the other and many passengers were also watching. During this time the RPF jawan’s eyes fell on this woman. Seeing the woman’s activities suspicious, she ran to the woman and said that an investigation would have to be done. The woman was arrogant at first, but later her attitude softened. During investigation, an object hidden in his clothes was found, due to which the whole secret was revealed and he was arrested.
Under the ‘Operation Passenger Security’ campaign, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) caught a vicious woman involved in mobile theft at Prayagraj Junction. While on rack security duty on platform number one of Prayagraj station of North Central Railway, Railway Protection Force’s female constable Kusum Yadav noticed a woman who was roaming suspiciously among the passengers. Being cautious, the constable stopped the woman and interrogated her. At first the woman kept misleading the constable, but her drama could not last long. He admitted to stealing a Vivo company mobile phone from a passenger.
Information about the incident was immediately given to the Government Railway Police (GRP), Prayagraj. During interrogation, the joint team of RPF and GRP identified the woman as Pooja (age 31 years, resident – Ballia). The accused was arrested on the spot and the stolen mobile phone was recovered. The woman has been involved in many theft cases in the past also. Often used to steal mobile phones and valuables of passengers from trains or stations. She used to commit theft by changing trains and stations every day. The Railway Administration has appealed to the passengers to immediately report any suspicious activity or person on Railway Helpline 139 and remain alert.
