Camphor tablets can also be used to drive away rats. The fragrance of camphor is so strong that it not only keeps rats but also insects from getting into the crops. Spray camphor tablets mixed with neem oil or put camphor tablets around the rat’s hole. This will make the rodents run away from the field

Most of the rats live in burrows in the fields. In such a situation, farmers should keep the height and width of the ridges of the fields to a minimum so that rats cannot make holes on them. Do not allow weeds to grow on these ridges and keep cleaning them. With this the number of rats can be reduced.
Rats can be driven away from fields without using any chemical or poison. First of all, extract the juice of garlic and sprinkle it in the wheat field. They cannot tolerate the smell of garlic at all, that is why they immediately run away from that field.
Peppermint oil can be used to drive away rats from fields. Mix it in water. Then spray it in the fields. The strong smell of peppermint keeps rats away.
Use alum to drive away rats. Grind alum finely and make powder. Then by mixing it in water and sprinkling it in the fields, the rats run away. The smell of alum irritates the rats and they go away from there.
Farmers can also keep cats to drive away rats from their fields. Cats are considered the biggest enemy of rats. Apart from this, if snakes are seen around the fields, do not kill them, snakes also eat rats. You can also keep owl’s nest around the fields. Rats are also afraid of the presence of owls.
