Bihar Kuch Trophy will be organized in Hazaribagh, competition between Kerala and Jharkhand

Hazaribagh: Hazaribagh is making its special place in the field of sports. The district has got the hosting rights of BCCI’s domestic Cooch Behar Trophy for the first time. The Cooch Behar Trophy Elite Group match will be played between Jharkhand and Kerala at the Sanjay Singh Cricket Stadium in Hazaribagh from 8 to 11 December. Preparations for the match have almost been completed.

Giving information, Hazaribagh District Cricket Association President Manish Jaiswal said that Hazaribagh has now come on the BCCI map. Hosting the Cooch Behar Trophy is a matter of pride for Hazaribagh District Cricket Association. In the coming days, players from two states will play cricket in Hazaribagh. From which the players here will get to learn a lot.

Young players will get experience
In view of the high quality of cricket organizing in Jharkhand, BCCI has given the responsibility of 77 matches to JSCA for the 2025-26 season. One of these matches will be held in Hazaribagh. District Cricket Association President Manish Jaiswal said that this is like the fulfillment of his years old dream. He further said that this event will give the young players of Hazaribagh the experience of national level matches and the name of the city will emerge more strongly on the cricket map. All arrangements have been completed, from the players’ accommodation, food, transportation to the technical preparations of the stadium.

Preparations being made for Ranji match
Five new turf wickets have been prepared in Sanjay Singh Cricket Stadium. Apart from this, four practice wickets have been made. The side screen has been expanded. Platforms have been prepared for video analysis on both sides of the pitch. The dressing room and umpire room have been upgraded as per national standards. Preparations are being made so that Ranji matches can also be held in Hazaribagh in future. It is hoped that BCCI will definitely give this opportunity in future.
