New Delhi. At present, a network of expressways and highways has been built across the country. This is the reason why people travel 500 to 700 km. Prefer to travel by road rather than train. However, vehicles have to pay toll for this. But in exchange for the money paid in toll, people are saving both time and money. To further improve it, the Ministry is conducting a study on the basic logic of toll. There is a possibility that this will further improve the arrangements and the drivers will get relief.
According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, toll was started in 1987. After this, updates are being made continuously in it. Toll is decided on three things, the price of the vehicle and the toll operating cost, how much benefit the driver is getting from the toll road, driving on a bad road causes many parts of the vehicle including the axle to get damaged quickly and thirdly, how much does the driver want to pay. The ministry wants to conduct a study on this. This work has been assigned to NITI Aayog. He has started the work.
The special thing is that no feedback has been given by the ministry in this. NITI Aayog is doing complete homework now. According to the ministry, after the report comes, the ministry will study it. How can its results provide relief to the drivers? If possible it will be implemented.

According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 1.5 lakh km across the country. NHAI has a total network. It covers about 90 thousand km. National Highway Authority of India has them, of which 45000 km. But it takes a toll. There are 1063 toll plazas on these NHs. There are lakhs of vehicles in these which have to come and go every day. At present, if these vehicles return within 24 hours, one and a half times the total fare has to be paid. To provide relief to these drivers, an annual pass of Rs 3000 has been started recently.
