Ingredients: Green fenugreek – 250 grams (finely chopped one cup), Green peas – half cup, Keem atha cup, Ghee or oil – 2 tbsp, Cumin or cumin powder – half tsp, Coriander powder – 1 tsp, Tomatoes 3 medium sized, Ginger – 1 inch 1 inch long piece, Green chillies – 1-2, Cashew nuts – 12, Sugar 1/2 tsp, Salt As per taste (3/4 tsp), red chili powder-1/4 – 1/4 tsp, asafoetida 1 pinch, garam masala- cinnamon- 1/2 inch piece, black pepper-6-7. Big cardamoms-2, cardamoms-a few.
Method: Take fenugreek and some green vegetables, like this: Pluck leaves from fenugreek, wash it twice with clean water and keep it in a plate at an angle, so that the water drains out from the fenugreek. Finely chop the washed leaves. Take fresh green peas. Wash tomatoes, cut them, break stalks of green chillies, peel ginger, wash, cut them and grind them all finely including cashew nuts. Peel the cardamom and prepare all the whole garam masalas by coarsely grinding them.

Take an empty vessel and prepare it like this: Put half a cup of water, chopped fenugreek and peas in a vessel and keep it boiling on the gas flame. After boiling, cook on low gas flame for 5 minutes or till the peas become soft.
Heat the oil and then make the masala like this: Heat the oil in a pan, add asafoetida and cumin seeds, add coriander powder and ground masala, red chilli powder, fry the masala till it becomes grainy, add the key and fry for 2-3 minutes, add the garam masala and mix.
Take boiled vegetable and prepare it like this: Boiled fenugreek and peas, salt and sugar, add water as per how thick or thin you want the vegetable to be, cook till it boils, fenugreek and peas malai is ready.
Serve in a vessel and eat like this: When your Haryanvi hot Methi Matar Malai Sabzi is ready. After that you can serve it with naan, chapatti, paratha or rice.
