Jaunpur: The entire area is shocked by the death under suspicious circumstances of Jaunpur resident assistant teacher Bipin Yadav, who was performing BLO duty in Gonda district. When his dead body reached his native village Malhani, the atmosphere became sad. The family members are inconsolable crying and the anger among the villagers is clearly visible. There is only one question echoing at every corner of the village – “How did a teacher reach such a situation?”
Serious allegation of family members – “Pressure to get names of OBC voters deleted”
The family members have made shocking allegations against the administration. Prateek Yadav, brother-in-law of the deceased, told that Bipin Yadav was under extreme stress for many days. During his BLO duty, pressure was being put on him repeatedly to get the names of OBC voters removed from the SIR list. Prateek claims that his brother-in-law was receiving constant threats and the workload was increased so much that he started having a mental breakdown.
Prateek Yadav told, “The last time we talked was at night. He clearly said that, ‘An attempt is being made to get us to do wrong work, the higher officials are pressurizing us to get our names deleted.’ But in the morning we got the sad news that he committed suicide by consuming poison.” The family says that this is not a personal step, but the result of administrative pressure and compulsion.
Congress President Ajay Rai reached the village
The incident has also increased political excitement. State Congress President Ajay Rai reached the residence of the deceased teacher on Wednesday and met the family members and consoled them. He assured the family of all possible assistance and described the entire incident as a serious democratic crisis.
What did Ajay Rai say?
“The negligence of the government and the Election Commission took the life of another employee. BLOs and teachers are being pressurized to delete the names of OBC voters. This is the result of atrocities and harassment. Bipin Yadav’s death is not just suicide, but a compulsion imposed by the system. There should be a fair investigation and strict action should be taken against the guilty officials.”
Demand for impartial investigation intensifies
The family members have raised the demand that there should be a high level investigation into this entire incident. The family has clearly said that if there was no pressure from the authorities, Bipin would have been alive today. The father says that arbitrariness, threats and undue pressure have now become common in BLO duty, which is very important to stop.
The death of the teacher has exposed many layers of the system. A family is broken, a village is in shock, and serious questions have been raised on the administration. If the family’s allegations are true, then this is not just an incident but a direct attack on the basic structure of democracy. To ensure that such a tragedy does not happen again, an impartial investigation and strict action is now mandatory.
