In the recently released CGPSC 2024 results in Chhattisgarh, Chanchal Paikra, daughter of a farmer family from Sitapur Karabel area of Surguja district, has created history by achieving amazing success. Her father, a paddy farmer, supported the family by selling vegetables on the roadside and dreamed of seeing his daughter become an officer. Chanchal made this dream come true in her second attempt. She could not clear the prelims in the first attempt, but in the second attempt, with the help of hard work, discipline and self-confidence, she secured first position in ST category and overall rank 206.
Know the beginning and strategy of CGPSC preparation from topper Chanchal Paikra
CGPSC topper Chanchal Paikra told Local 18 that he started his preparation from September 2022. To study more effectively in less time, he joined coaching. He says that with proper guidance and continuous hard work, preparation becomes easy. This was his second attempt in Prelims, whereas he appeared in Mains and Interview for the first time and achieved success.
Family support becomes the biggest strength
Chanchal first gave the credit for her success to her parents. He told that the family never made him feel any kind of problem. “If ever there was tension, father would always say – ‘Don’t take tension, everything will be fine.’” His parents do farming. Paddy is mainly cultivated, while vegetables are sold for additional income.
Great journey of educational journey from village to engineering
Chanchal’s primary education took place in Karabel. He studied from class 1st to class 4th in MP Memorial School and completed class 5th from Government Primary School. After this, she stayed in Eklavya Vidyalaya, Sana from 6th to 12th. He did his graduation in Civil Engineering from GC College, Jagdalpur.
Message for youth: Maintain honesty, revision and self-confidence.
Giving a message to the youth preparing for CGPSC, Chanchal said, “Whatever you read, read it with full honesty and attention. Revise continuously, give tests and maintain your confidence. The most important thing is that you understand why you are reading what you are reading?”
