Delhi Police has exposed a sensational incident that happened in Uttam Nagar. The police has arrested Paramjeet Singh, nephew of the complainant woman. Know what was the whole matter.
New Delhi. Delhi Police has solved such a case, after hearing which you will not allow any relative to stay in your house. In Delhi’s Uttam Nagar, a nephew created such a scandal in his maternal uncle’s house that it gave sleepless nights to the Delhi Police. However, Delhi Police has cleverly solved this case. Actually, Delhi Police had received a complaint that there had been theft in his house. In this theft, a gold chain worth lakhs of rupees and a 20 gram gold biscuit were stolen. After receiving the complaint of this theft in Uttam Nagar, the police have arrested the accused and have recovered all the stolen gold jewelery from Himachal Pradesh.
What was the incident and how did the suspicion arise?
The incident took place on 9 November 2025 in Uttam Nagar of Bindapur police station area. The complainant woman lodged an online FIR that an unknown person had stolen jewelery from her house. When Delhi Police reached the spot and checked the nearby CCTV footage, they did not find the doors or locks of the house broken. This made the police realize that the theft was not carried out by an outsider, but by an insider or expert in the house.

During investigation, the police came to know that the complainant’s cousin Paramjit Singh, who is a resident of Ludhiana Punjab. Recently stayed at his house for three days. On the basis of suspicion, the police started interrogating Paramjeet. During interrogation, Paramjeet identified himself as ‘Sub-Inspector Paramveer Singh’. When the police asked him for his ID card and asked about his posting, he could not give any satisfactory answer and could not produce any document.

Paramjeet broke down after being strictly interrogated by Delhi Police. He confessed that he sells old cars and it was he who had committed the burglary at his aunt’s daughter’s house. He also told that he had hidden the stolen jewelery inside a bed in his maternal grandfather’s house in Ambota, Himachal Pradesh.
After Paramjeet’s revelations, he was arrested, produced in the court and taken on police remand. The police team immediately took him to Himachal Pradesh, from where all the stolen items were successfully recovered.
Delhi Police has recovered 1 gold chain with locket, 1 other gold chain, 2 gold rings, 1 pair of gold earrings, 1 gold biscuit (20 grams). DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused under sections 305 and 317 (2) of BNS and further investigation is going on.
