Raigarh News: Students of Eklavya Adarsh Residential School, Chharratangar, Raigarh created history by winning 18 medals in the National Sports Competition held in Odisha. A procession was taken out in the village in honor of the children and MP Radheshyam Rathiya assured to take it to international level.
Raigarh: The students of Eklavya Adarsh Residential School Chharratangar have brought glory to the district by performing brilliantly in the National Sports Competition held in Odisha and winning a total of 18 medals. The students won 3 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze medals. Two girls of the school won gold medals in Taekwondo, while a student brought glory to Chhattisgarh by winning gold in Chess.
A grand procession of the winning children was taken out
On returning from the competition, a grand procession of the winning children was taken out in Chharratangar, where the villagers including MP Radheshyam Rathiya welcomed them.
The coach told that for the first time the tribal children of the school had participated in the national level competition and it is a matter of pride for them to return after winning 18 medals. Chhattisgarh stood second in the entire sports event, in which the players of these schools also had an important contribution.
MP Radheshyam Rathiya said that the children have reached the national level, now they will also be prepared for international competitions and every possible support will be given in this.
