New Delhi. North Western Railways has given a gift to the passengers in view of December holidays, weddings and New Year. From December 1, 2025 to January 2, 2026, a total of additional coaches are being temporarily installed in many trains going to Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Indore, Udaipur, Amritsar. This includes ordinary, sleeper, third AC, first-cum-second AC and chair car. This will provide relief to people traveling for weddings.
Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, Shashi Kiran said that the biggest benefit will be to those passengers who catch long distance trains from Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Sriganganagar, Hisar, Bhiwani. Main trains in which coaches have been increased.
Extra coaches in these trains
22471/72 Lalgarh-Delhi Sarai Vande Bharat 2 ordinary coaches from 1-15 December, 20473/74 Delhi Sarai-Udaipur City 2 ordinary from 1-16 December, 14707/08 Hanumangarh-Dadar 1 third AC throughout December, 12991/92 Udaipur-Jaipur Intercity 2 chaircars and 1 ordinary throughout December, 22977/78 Jaipur-Jodhpur has 1 first-cum-second AC and 1 third AC throughout December, 12065/66 Ajmer-Delhi Janshatabdi has 2 AC chaircar and 1 second chaircar throughout December, 14807/08 Jodhpur-Dadar and 20483/84 Bhagat Ki Kothi-Dadar has 3 third AC and 2 sleeper, 22473/74 Bikaner-Bandra Terminus has added 1 third AC and 1 sleeper in December, 12465/66 Ranthambore Express (Indore-Jodhpur) has added 1 sleeper and 3 ordinary and 12988/87 Ajmer-Sealdah has added 1 first-cum-second AC coach throughout December.
Apart from this, third A43 and sleeper coaches have also been increased in all three trains of Jodhpur-Varanasi, Bikaner-Haridwar, Sri Ganganagar-Puri, Ajmer-Bandra Special, Hisar-Tirupati Special. There has been relief in local trains also. 3 to 5 ordinary coaches have been added in Rewari-Phulera, Jaipur-Rewari, Bhiwani-Kalka, Sriganganagar-Bathinda, Jaipur-Bathinda etc. Railways says that these coaches will be installed from December 1 till New Year, those whose tickets are waiting, they can now hope for confirmation.
