noohAfter the Delhi blast, security agencies are on high alert in Nuh district of Haryana, On Tuesday morning, the district police conducted a large-scale search and verification campaign simultaneously in different Rohingya settlements of the district, This campaign was conducted in the Rohingya settlement of Nuh, Punhana area, where several teams of police went to the slums in the morning and carefully examined the documents, searched the belongings and interrogated the people in detail,
The residents of the colony gave full cooperation to the police and told that the police keeps running such inspection and awareness programs from time to time. Under the leadership of the Sadar Police Station in-charge in Nuh, it was conducted in the Rohingya refugee colony located in village Chandeni at 6:30 am. During this, security agents, security unit and Intelligence Bureau employees were also present. The identity of all Rohingya refugees was verified on the basis of the refugee card of the UNHCR.
During checking, 7 persons were found to be out for work, but no unlisted person was found. According to the official report of the police, the current number of Rohingya refugees living in District Nuh since 2012 is a total of 1,713 (including men, women and children) in 385 families. These have been checked from time to time from safety point of view. Police officials gave necessary guidelines to the people at both the places and said that if any suspicious person or activity is seen anywhere, they should immediately inform the police. Police clarified that these operations are part of regular security procedure and there is no reason to panic. Everyone’s cooperation is expected in maintaining law and order. Inspection campaign is also going on at mosques, madrassas and other sensitive places in the district.

According to police spokesperson Krishna Kumar, this is a normal security checking, there is no panic like situation. People should maintain peace and avoid rumours. On the other hand, while talking to journalists, Rohingya Muslim Abdul Kalam said that he had taken refuge in India because mutual love is given to each other here. People also come for help. Police investigations are conducted from time to time. We cooperate with the police. We earn our living by working as laborers. In the year 2012, when the situation in the country was not good. When there was bloodshed and the honor of women was being trampled, the Rohingyas came from there to save their lives. After that the government gave him shelter in different states of the country. About 400 Rohingya families settled in villages like Shahpur Nangli, Chandeni, Firozpur Namak etc. near Nuh Shahr Adda.
Mohammad Hussain told that Rohingya built bamboo huts and started earning their living by making bamboo huts etc. in the area. Now he started feeling India as his own, but he clearly said that he did not come here to get citizenship but came here to save his life. The situation in Verma is still not good, till the situation there becomes better, the Government of India should provide shelter in its own country. He wants to return to his country as soon as the situation improves. All the Rohingyas living in Nuh are Muslims.
