Bihar Tourism: Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation has started luxury bus service from Patna to Siliguri and Gopalganj. Due to which traveling to Thawe Temple and North-Eastern tourist places will now be cheap and comfortable. According to Nand Kishore, General Manager of the Tourism Department, these bus services are being operated directly by the Bihar government for the first time. Bus services will not only provide economical and comfortable travel to the passengers, but will also promote tourism in north-eastern hill stations like Sikkim, Darjeeling, Gangtok, Pelling, Lachung-Lachen, Gurudongmar Lake, Yumthang Valley.
Patna: Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) has started a big facility for tourists. Due to which Thawe Darshan and Siliguri travel has now become luxury and budget-friendly. The corporation has started two new interstate and one interdistrict luxury bus services under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, which will make travel to religious and tourist places in North-East India and North Bihar easy and comfortable.
Under the new service, two 2×2 luxury sleeper buses will run from Patna to Siliguri, which will depart from R Block Patna at 7:30 pm. This bus will reach Siliguri via Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga. The return journey will be via Kishanganj and Purnia route at 6:30 pm. The fare of this bus has been fixed at Rs 900 per passenger. A 2×2 seater luxury bus service has also been started from Patna to Gopalganj, which will run via Thawe Temple. Its fare is only Rs 250.
According to Nand Kishore, General Manager of the Tourism Department, these bus services are being operated directly by the Bihar government for the first time. Before this, dependence on private bus operators will end. Bus services will not only provide economical and comfortable travel to the passengers, but will also promote tourism in north-eastern hill stations like Sikkim, Darjeeling, Gangtok, Pelling, Lachung-Lachen, Gurudongmar Lake, Yumthang Valley. Devotees of Thawe Temple will also greatly benefit from these services, as their journey will now be simpler, safer and more convenient than before. Considering the success of the bus and the increasing number of passengers, there are plans to increase the number of buses in future.
