Patna Triple Murder: Three people including Ashrafi Rai were murdered in a land dispute in Domanchak village of Patna. Police investigation into the matter is ongoing. According to the police, five shells and a pistol have been recovered from the incident site. The initial cause of death is said to be land dispute. At present the police is investigating the matter. Police investigation and heavy security is deployed in the incident.
Patna: The triple murder that took place late Saturday evening in Domanchak village of Gopalpur police station area of the capital Patna shocked the entire area. Prima facie, this entire matter is being said to be related to land dispute. The family members and villagers present at the spot have also informed the police about the land related tension. The police is currently investigating all aspects. Five shells and a pistol were found from the spot.
Deceased Ashrafi Rai was sitting at the door, then he was shot
According to local people, between 4:30 and 5 pm, 75-year-old Ashrafi Rai was sitting near the door of his house. Then two armed criminals riding a bike fired two to three bullets at him. The elderly man was seriously injured by the bullet. He was immediately taken to PMCH for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
Angry villagers killed two criminals
After shooting Ashrafi Rai, the criminals escaped on the bike, but as soon as the information about the murder was received, the villagers became furious. The villagers united and chased the criminals. Both of them were caught after laying siege in Bhogpur area. After this the mob beat both the attackers to death. The two dead criminals have not been identified yet.
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, police teams from several police stations including City SP Patna East Parichay Kumar, Sadar DSP-2 Ranjan Kumar reached the spot. The FSL team collected scientific evidence from the spot and recovered five shells and a pistol. The police have taken possession of the CCTV footage installed in the nearby houses and roads.

Police officials said that in the preliminary investigation the matter appears to be related to a land dispute. There is also talk of old tension regarding land between Ashrafi Rai’s family and some people of the village. Officials said that the investigation is still in the initial stage, but many inputs are pointing towards a land dispute.
Tension in village, heavy police force deployed
Tension has spread in the village after the incident. Heavy deployment of police force has been made to prevent any untoward situation. Police have started continuous patrolling in the surrounding areas.
City SP’s statement
City SP Parichay Kumar said that the incident is very sensitive. There have been three deaths. All the facts are being investigated. Prima facie this matter seems to be a land dispute, but something can be said clearly only after the investigation is completed. Strict action will be taken against the culprits.
