Many times the reason is that the plant is spending its energy in the wrong place or it is not getting the nutrition it needs most. His method is neither laborious nor expensive. All you have to do is press a small piece into the soil at the right place and follow some basic care rules. If you have a little patience and follow these steps, your pot can be filled with flowers in a few weeks.
Keep the plant in sunlight and provide proper support
Aparajita is not a shade loving plant. It needs plenty of direct sunlight to bloom, if the pot is kept in the shade, the plant will concentrate all its energy on the leaves but will not produce flowers. Therefore, keep the pot at a place where it gets bright sunlight for at least 4 to 6 hours a day.
Secondly, it is a creeper plant. It is necessary to provide support for it to spread and get air. You should put a net, rope or any thin stick in the pot, so that the vines can climb up. When the plant gets open space and right direction, it grows faster and produces more flowers.
The magic of pruning – remove dried flowers and yellow leaves
The main reason for non-flowering is that the plant spends its energy on useless things. As soon as the flowers dry, the plant starts producing seeds and its strength ends there. Therefore, pluck and remove dry parts like flowers and pods immediately. This signals the plant that it has to make more new flowers. Also, if the leaves are turning yellow, remove them too. Yellow leaves only suck energy from the plant. Also clean the weeds growing in the pot, otherwise the nutrients in the soil get distributed and the plant becomes weak.
Miracle of digging soil and ashes
If the soil has become hard, air and water cannot reach the plant’s roots. Lightly loosen the soil once a month. This allows the roots to breathe easily and the plant remains fresh.
After weeding, mix one spoon wood ash in the soil. Ash contains many minerals, which make the soil healthy and also provide protection from fungus and insects. Keep in mind, add it only once a month, otherwise the plant may dry up.
Secret of big flowers – Mustard cake
The real secret of Vibha Tiwari is this – mustard cake. The amount of nitrogen in it is quite good, due to which the leaves and branches of the plant grow rapidly. When the plant is strong, only then it gives more flowers. It also contains phosphorus and potassium, which help in increasing the number and size of flowers.
How to press cake pieces
The method is very simple:
-Take 2 to 3 small pieces of mustard cake
-Bury them in the soil a little away from the stem of the plant.
-Never keep the piece too close to the stem
-It is best to press towards the edge of the pot
-Give water sparingly, not too much
The cake slowly dissolves in the soil, due to which the plant continues to get nutrition for a long time. Use it only once in 15 days. If you want, you can also make liquid fertilizer by soaking the cake in water, but because of the smell, people prefer the trick of solid pieces.
