Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’ Dharmendra has always been known for his simple life, desi food and fit lifestyle. The way he took care of his health in a natural way till the last stage of his life is a big lesson for today’s generation also. Dharmendra was not only very simple in terms of food, but he also spent most of his time in his farmhouse instead of the luxurious house in Mumbai. Here he lived amidst nature, connected with the soil and grew organic vegetables.
Dharmendra loved the natural air of the farmhouse, the smell of soil and the country lifestyle. Here he used to grow tomatoes, gourd, lady’s finger and especially tinda himself. Taking care of the fields, serving the cows and buffaloes and tending the greenery of the garden were part of his daily routine. He believed that the closer a person lives to nature, the healthier and happier he remains. This was the reason why he lived more in his own world, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Dharmendra also took care of the pets with great care. In his farmhouse, his diet was completely local, consisting of fresh milk from cow and buffalo, pure desi ghee and vegetables obtained from the farm.
