Greater Noida News: Petrol-diesel delivery vehicles of e-commerce companies will be completely banned in Noida-Greater Noida from January 1, 2026. All services will have to adopt CNG or electric vehicles. The administration believes that this step will play an important role in controlling pollution and will make the city cleaner, quieter and modern.
An important meeting was organized on Monday at the ARTO office located in Sector-32, Noida, to discuss the implementation of this order. The meeting was presided over by ARTO (Administration) Nand Kumar, while ARTO Vinay Kumar Singh was also present. In the meeting, representatives of online delivery companies were informed about the new rules and they were instructed to prepare in time. Officials clarified that after the completion of the deadline, petrol and diesel vehicles will not be allowed to ply on the roads.
Under this decision, all bikes, scooters, autos, e-rickshaws and small four-wheeler goods vehicles (LCV/LGV) used in delivery will have to be compulsorily converted into CNG or electric vehicles. The administration says that all commercial vehicles running as aggregators, whether passenger or cargo, will come under the purview of the rules. RTO (Administration) Siyaram Verma said that as per the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a ban on commercial vehicles running on diesel and petrol will be implemented in the district after December 31, 2025. After this, only CNG and electric vehicles will be valid from January 1, 2026.
The administration believes that this step will play an important role in reducing air pollution. In view of the increasing pollution level in NCR in the last few years, promoting clean fuel vehicles has now become the need of the hour. Officials say that if companies start preparations from now, there will be no problem in future.
After the implementation of this decision, the picture of delivery services in Noida will completely change. In the coming time, only environment-friendly, noise-free and clean fuel vehicles will be seen making deliveries on the city roads. This step will not only help in reducing pollution, but will also prove to be a big step towards making the city cleaner and modern.
