Hair Care Tips for Dandruff: Skin and hair care expert AK Mishra says that along with home remedies, small changes in lifestyle also help in eliminating dandruff. These include not washing hair with very hot water, washing hair only 2-3 times a week, not staying near caps, mufflers and heaters for long periods of time. Drink enough water and eat nutritious food. By keeping these things in mind, you can keep your hair safe in winter.
While the winter season makes the skin dry, the problem of dandruff also increases rapidly. Dandruff increases due to less humidity in winter, frequent washing of hair with hot water and drying of the scalp. But the good thing is that it can be completely controlled by adopting some easy home remedies.
Skin expert AK Mishra explains that in the cold season, the natural oil of the scalp reduces, due to which the scalp dries up and starts falling in the form of flakes. Apart from this, wearing a hat or cap continuously also prevents the scalp from getting air and fungus starts growing, which causes dandruff.
Coconut oil is considered best for hair in winter. Heat the oil lightly and add a little camphor to it and apply it on the scalp. It removes dandruff and also gives relief from itching.
