This is not just a dish but a name that has been the identity of Jaunpur for the last 50 years. It was started in the 1970s by Prem Prakash Gupta from a small shop in Chaharsu area. The specialty was mutton cooked in a wooden stove with spices and on low flame. Today the third generation is handling the legacy of this taste. The aroma of cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper makes mutton special. Served without any frills with onion and lemon, this mutton attracts people from far and wide.
