New Delhi. Quick-commerce in India is no longer limited to just milk, bread or vegetables. Instamart’s report for the year 2025 shows that people are now buying expensive gadgets and valuables from this platform. The biggest example of this is the customer who surprised everyone by spending more than Rs 22 lakh on Instamart.
22 iPhones, gold coins and everyday items
According to Instamart’s How India Instamarted 2025 report, this year’s top spenders bought 22 iPhone 17, 24-carat gold coins and everyday items like milk, fruits, eggs from the same platform. This was the highest value cumulative cart of the year. The special thing is that it included expensive gadgets and items of common need together, which shows the power of the 10 minute delivery model.
Big change in the thinking of urban shopping
This trend shows that the shopping pattern in urban India is changing rapidly. Now quick-commerce platforms are not limited to just ’emergency top-up’. People are also using them for festive gifting, new gadget launches and premium products. The report also revealed that a printout of just Rs 10 in Bengaluru was the smallest order of the year, while a single cart worth Rs 4.3 lakh was made on iPhone in Hyderabad.
Bengaluru’s generosity and the future of quick-commerce
Another interesting aspect of the Instamart report is related to Bengaluru. Here a user gave a tip of Rs 68,600 to the delivery partners in the whole year, which is the highest in the country. Bengaluru has not only emerged as a big market for Korean sauces and late-night snacks, but is also at the forefront in adopting new product categories. Overall, quick-commerce played an important role in Indian household purchasing in 2025 and it became clear that 10-minute delivery has now become both a luxury and a necessity.
