Prayagraj Magh Mela Railway Update: Keeping in mind crowd control and passenger safety during Magh Mela, Railways has changed the stoppage of Barmer-Howrah superfast train. This train will not stop at Prayagraj station during the Magh Mela period. Railways has decided to temporarily stop the train at another fixed station instead. Passengers have been advised to check the latest information related to the train before travelling. This temporary arrangement will remain in force till the end of Magh Mela.
Barmer. In view of the excessive crowd at Prayagraj Junction during Magh Mela-2026, Railways has taken a big decision. North Western Railway has temporarily canceled the stoppage of Barmer-Howrah-Barmer Superfast Express at Prayagraj Junction. Barmer-Howrah Superfast Express will now stop at Subedarganj station instead of Prayagraj Junction during the fair period.
North-Western Railway has made major changes in Barmer-Howrah Express. Now this train will stop at Subedar Ganj instead of Prayagraj Junction. According to Jodhpur Divisional Railway Manager Anurag Tripathi, there is heavy traffic of devotees and passengers at Prayagraj Junction during Magh Mela. This temporary arrangement has been changed keeping in mind the safety of passengers, crowd control and smooth operations. The stoppage of Barmer-Howrah-Barmer Express has been changed to Subedarganj station instead of Prayagraj.
13 trips train will stop at Subedarganj instead of Prayagraj Junction
According to DRM Anurag Tripathi, Train No. 12324 Barmer – Howrah Superfast Express will arrive at Subedarganj station at 4:15 pm and depart at 4:20 pm from January 3 to February 14, 2026 (total 13 trips). The same train number 12323 Howrah–Barmer Superfast Express will arrive at Subedarganj station at 6:50 am and depart at 6:55 am from January 2 to February 13, 2026 (total 13 trips).
Barmer-Howrah Superfast operates two days a week
This superfast train service operates two days a week. It operates regularly from Barmer on Wednesday and Saturday while from Howrah on Tuesday and Friday. Railway administration has appealed to the passengers that while planning their journey during the Magh Mela period, they must check the information about the revised stoppage, arrival-departure time and station of the train in advance.
Temporary change made due to Magh Mela period
This temporary arrangement will be applicable only till the Magh Mela period so that safe, well-organized and smooth rail service can be provided to the devotees and passengers. After the end of the fair, the operation of Barmer-Howrah-Barmer Superfast Express will be resumed as per the pre-determined stoppage.
