Varanasi, which is called the city of religion, is famous all over the world for its culture, art and Ganga ghats. Recently, American couple Jason and Lauren got married here as per Vedic rituals, which included traditional rituals like seven rounds, Panigrahan and Rudrabhishek. This unique wedding showed that the religious and cultural specialty of Varanasi attracts people from all over the world.
In Kashi, an American couple, showing their faith in Sanatan Dharma, took seven rounds as per Vedic Hindu customs and made each other their companions for seven births. This unique wedding that took place in Kashi is now being discussed everywhere.
Early in the morning, America’s Jason Matzner (groom) and Lauren Kozal (bride) performed all the rituals of their wedding with full Hindu rituals at the Gauri Kedareshwar Temple on the banks of Ganga in Varanasi.
The people of Kashi also became witnesses of this unique marriage, who along with Gharati acted as the wedding procession and performed other rituals including Kanya Daan, Lava Parcha on behalf of the bride and groom. During this time, the sweet echo of Veda mantras also remained in the atmosphere.

The special thing was that the Brahmins of Kashi chanted the Sanskrit Veda mantras and also translated them into English and explained the meaning and importance of the mantras to the American couple.
During this, all the traditional rituals like Paanigrahan Sanskar, Varmala, Saptapadi, Phere and Sankalp were completed, after which Jason and Lauren got tied in the bond of seven lives.
After the marriage, both of them, showing their faith in Sanatan culture, performed Rudrabhishek of Gauri Kedareshwar with full Vedic rituals in the temple. During this, he also shouted slogans of Har-Har Mahadev.
After Rudrabhishek, this American couple also took the blessings of Mother Ganga who enhances the beauty of Shiva’s hair. Both of them went to the banks of Ganga and paid obeisance to Mother Ganga. Jason told that his connection with India and Indian culture is very old.
He came to Kashi with his parents for the first time, hence he has been interested in Sanatan Dharma since childhood. Jason had come to Kashi for the fourth time on Saturday for his marriage. Jason is also a devotee of Lord Ganesha. Jason is a guitarist by profession, while his wife Lauren works as a marketing expert.
