Shopkeeper Arvind Kumar, who has been making Jalebi for the last 18 years at a traditional shop in Jahanganj, says that his Jalebi is very much liked due to its purity and taste. Here, round jalebis are made from the batter prepared from flour and urad dal, deep fried and then dipped in special syrup, which is served with the fragrance of rose water and curd made from milk. This traditional method and low price makes Farrukhabad’s Jalebi special, which people consider a symbol of happiness and sweetness.
