According to Vastu Shastra, sitting in this direction and using mobile for a long time can hinder auspicious works. There is a belief that there may be delays in important tasks like job, studies or marriage. Apart from this, excessive use of mobile in the south direction can also increase laziness and negative thinking.

The west direction is considered to be associated with actions and results. By sitting in this direction and using mobile, a person starts thinking excessively. This may increase stress and anxiety.
