Dhanbad. With the aim of bringing diverse cuisines and cultural colors from across the country under one roof, a grand food festival is being organized in Dhanbad from 22nd December. This food festival will be organized at the Golf Ground, where the people of Dhanbad will be able to enjoy traditional and popular dishes of different states of India for the next 12 days. According to the organizers, this will be the first and biggest food festival of its kind in Dhanbad.
100 stalls will be set up, taste of 17 states
About 100 stalls will be set up in the food festival, on which dishes from 15 to 17 states of the country will be served. Dishes like traditional Litti-Chokha of Bihar, famous Kahwa of Kashmir, Idli-Dosa and Uttapam of South India, Dal-Bati-Churma of Rajasthan, Dhokla and Fafda of Gujarat, Chole-Bhatura and Maize Roti-Mustard Saag of Punjab will attract people. Along with this, street food from many states will also be a part of the festival, which will give people an opportunity to taste the tastes of the whole of India at one place.
Will be introduced to the diverse taste of the country
Organizer Gautam Kumar said that for the first time a food festival is being organized on such a large scale in Dhanbad. He says that the objective of this event is not only to provide delicious food to the people, but also to show the diversity and cultural unity of India. Local street vendors and small businessmen will also be promoted through the food festival, which will give them an opportunity to present their art and taste on a big platform.
Along with food, also take care of entertainment
Along with catering, complete arrangements for entertainment have also been made in the food festival. DJ nights and music programs will be organized every evening, so that people can enjoy music and entertainment along with food. Famous teams from Kolkata and Ranchi will participate in this DJ night. Organizers said that an important objective of this program is to promote the local artists of Dhanbad and also to give them a proper platform, so that their talent can come in front of the people.
Alcohol is completely banned
The organizers have also clarified that this food festival will be completely alcohol free. Special arrangements have been made keeping in mind the safety of families, women and children. A fee of Rs 30 per person has been kept for entry into the fair, which will be spent on the maintenance and security arrangements of the fair. Adequate number of bouncers and security personnel will be deployed for security, so that people can enjoy this event without any worries.
Dhanbad MP Dhulu Mahato and Dhanbad Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Aditya Ranjan have been invited for the inauguration ceremony of the food festival. The organizers hope that his arrival will further increase the enthusiasm of the program.
The festival will run for 12 days
