What are the main reasons for increasing pollution?
Lack of rain can also be the main reason for this because due to prolonged dry weather, dust particles have settled down in the air. At the same time, the cold air becomes heavy and stops the pollution particles and smoke at the lower surface of the atmosphere. The dust rising from the ongoing construction work in Dehradun and the smoke from vehicles are deepening the smog, thereby increasing the problem.
Crowd of patients increased in hospitals
Chest specialist of Doon Hospital, Dr. Anurag Aggarwal said that construction is going on continuously in Dehradun and due to the dry season, dust particles remain in the atmosphere, along with this, pollution particles are also making the air dangerous. People who are already suffering from diseases like COPD and asthma may face problems like difficulty in breathing and suffocation, hence they should not inhale this type of air. You should always take your medicines. Adequate amount of water and proper diet should be taken care of. If you go outside, be sure to wear a mask. Until the smog clears up, avoid exercising outside in the morning and late evening and if you experience difficulty in breathing, persistent cough or feeling of heaviness in the chest, consult a specialist immediately. This increasing graph of pollution has directly attacked the lungs of the people. An increase of 20% to 30% is being seen in the number of respiratory patients in major medical centers of the city including Doon Hospital.
