Model village of Shahjahanpur: Bhatpura Rasoolpur village of Shahjahanpur is writing a new chapter of development today. The determination to stop migration has made village head Anil Kumar Gupta a ‘role model’. The colorful streets, CCTV cameras and modern facilities here are defeating the cities. Honored by the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, this Panchayat has now become an example for the country.
To change the image of the village, the village head has got colorful interlocking done on 54 roads. The special thing is that these roads have been named after great men and elders. Paved drains and well-built roads have given the village an organized and beautiful urban look.
This village is very strict in terms of cleanliness. There are five community toilets along with a private toilet in every house. Here, sweepers sweep the streets daily, and fancy dustbins placed at various places ensure that filth is not visible anywhere.
More than 1000 saplings have been planted to keep the village green. With the inspiration of Pradhan, farmers have also planted more than 4000 poplar trees. This is not only purifying the environment, but also developing sources of additional income for the farmers in future.

57 India Marka hand pumps for drinking water are in fully operational condition. Showing seriousness towards water conservation, soak pits have been built for water harvesting. Conservation of 26 ponds of the village ensures that the water level of the village always remains good.
Even on the security front, Bhatpura Rasoolpur is no less than a posh colony. 16 CCTV cameras have been installed to keep an eye on every nook and corner of the village. Due to digital surveillance, there is an atmosphere of peace in the village and the villagers feel safe.
For his excellent work, Anil Kumar Gupta was honored by PM Modi in 2015 and by CM Yogi in 2022-23. He was also sent to Kerala and Punjab for national workshops. Today his village is making the real definition of ‘Smart Village’ meaningful on the ground.
