Lucknow. Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming three-tier Panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh. The State Election Commission has released the timetable of the special revision program of the voter list, under which the voter revision list of the Panchayat elections will be published tomorrow i.e. on 23rd December.
What to do if name is missing
This vetting process is important to ensure transparency and accuracy in Panchayat elections. Voters have been appealed to check their list within the stipulated time limit and if any name is missing, wrong or there is any other error, then lodge objection immediately. Panchayat elections are likely to be held in the state next year, and the election process will proceed only on this voter list. The Election Commission’s effort is to ensure that no eligible voter is deprived of the right to vote. Voters can contact the concerned Block Development Officer or Election Office to see the list and take necessary action.
