In Chitrakoot, UP, thieves broke into three houses together last night. Thieves have committed theft of more than Rs 20 lakh. Taking advantage of the fog, the thieves escaped with jewelery and cash. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village due to theft in three houses simultaneously. Villagers have raised questions on police patrolling. After the information, the police reached the spot and are engaged in investigation. This is the case of Simardaha village of Bahilpurwa police station area.
Road accident in Bijnor
A major road accident has occurred in Bijnor, UP. There was a massive collision between Creta car and mining dumper. Four people traveling in the car died tragically in the accident. All the deceased were returning home after attending a day-long procession. Police reached the spot, sent all four bodies for post-mortem and are busy taking legal action. This accident happened on Haridwar Road of Nagal police station area of Bijnor.
Fog havoc in Pratapgarh
The havoc of cold and fog is being seen in Pratapgarh. The city is in the grip of fog. Road traffic and railway traffic are being badly affected due to fog. New Delhi Malda Town has been canceled due to fog. While more than a dozen trains are running late. Passengers are waiting for trains on the platform. People are forced to stand in front of bonfires at intersections to protect themselves from the cold.
Yogi government will present supplementary budget in the assembly today
Yogi Adityanath government is going to present the supplementary budget in the Assembly today in Lucknow. After the draft of the budget is approved in the cabinet meeting to be held at the Chief Minister’s residence in the morning, the Finance Minister will present it in the House at 12:20 pm. In this supplementary budget estimated at around Rs 30 thousand crore, special emphasis is expected on infrastructure including expressways, link expressways and implementation of ambitious schemes of the Central and State Government.
Preparation for Magh Mela in Prayagraj
Preparations have intensified regarding the security of Magh Mela to be held in Prayagraj. There will be an important meeting of UP State Disaster Management Authority today. The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Lieutenant General Yogendra Dimri, Vice Chairman of the Authority. Symposium and tabletop exercises will be organized based on crowd management, drowning, cold wave and fire. The event will be held tomorrow from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm and on December 23, 2025 from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm. The program has been organized at Cobra Auditorium, New Cantt, Sadar Prayagraj.
