Air India flight News- Air India flight AI-887 was recalled due to technical fault during flight from Delhi to Mumbai, all passengers remained safe. Earlier, emergency landing of Air India Express took place in Cochin also.
New Delhi. Air India flight AI-887, which departed from Delhi’s IGI Airport for Mumbai on Monday morning, was called back from the air after a few minutes. The plane had taken off from IGI Airport on time, but after take off, signs of technical fault started appearing in the cockpit, after which the pilot immediately showed alertness and decided to return. Successful landing was made.
According to Air India spokesperson, the pilot and crew gave top priority to safety without taking any kind of risk. The plane landed safely at Delhi airport after some time. After landing, all the passengers and crew members were evacuated safely. Air India has expressed regret for the delay and inconvenience caused to passengers due to this incident. The engineering and technical team of the airline has started examining the plane.
The ground staff at Delhi Airport became active immediately after the incident. The passengers were taken to a safe place inside the terminal. Air India said that alternative flights are being arranged for all the affected passengers. Due to winter holidays, flights are becoming very crowded. The Delhi-Mumbai route is one of the busiest routes in the country, where a large number of flights operate daily.
What did aviation experts say?
Aviation experts believe that recalling the aircraft when there are signs of technical fault is the right and responsible decision of the pilot. According to him, the safety standards in modern civil aviation have been kept so strict that even at the slightest suspicion there is no hesitation in returning the aircraft to base.
Emergency landing has already been done
The Air India Express flight coming from Jeddah to Kozhikode made an emergency landing at Cochin International Airport this morning. There were 160 passengers on board this plane. After takeoff, the landing gear malfunctioned, causing the tires to fail. The pilot immediately informed Cochin Airport and sought permission for emergency landing. The landing was safe and all passengers were disembarked safely.
