Khus Khus Halwa Recipe: Eating sweets in winter is a different pleasure. In this season, people often make carrot halwa or moong dal halwa, but if you want to try something new, tasty and healthy, then poppy seed halwa is a great option. Poppy seeds, also known as poppy seeds, are not only delicious in taste but the nutrients present in it make it perfect for winter diet. Ingredients for making poppy seeds pudding-
Poppy seeds – ¾ cup (about 100 grams)
Desi ghee – 70 grams
Sugar – ¾ cup
Milk – 1 cup (about 250 ml)
Cardamom – 4 to 5 small
Almonds, cashews, pistachios – 7 to 8 pieces
Easy method of making poppy seeds pudding-
-First of all, clean the poppy seeds thoroughly and soak them in water for 4 to 5 hours. After soaking, drain the water and add some milk in the mixer and grind it finely. Now cut cashews, almonds and pistachios into small pieces and grind cardamom seeds and make powder.
-Put some ghee in a pan and fry the dry fruits lightly and take them out separately. In the same pan, add half the ghee and fry the ground poppy seeds on low flame while stirring continuously, until the aroma starts coming out and the color becomes light golden. If needed, you can add some more ghee.
-Now add milk and sugar in the same pan, mix and cook till the sugar dissolves. After this add roasted poppy seeds and cook till the halwa becomes thick. Finally add cardamom powder and roasted dry fruits and mix well.
-Hot poppy seed pudding is ready. If you want, serve it hot or if you want, you can also store it in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days. Full of taste, health and aroma, this halwa is very tasty and healthy in winters, like carrot or moong dal halwa.
