Sitamarhi Schools Closed: In view of the falling mercury and increasing cold, the schools of the district have been closed till 24th December. However, classes being conducted for preparation of pre-board and board exams will not be stopped.
Sitamarhi. In view of the continuously increasing cold and falling temperature in the district, the district administration has taken a big decision, giving priority to the safety of children. For the last two days, extremely cold conditions have prevailed in the morning and evening, due to which there is a possibility of negative impact on the health of small children. Keeping this in mind, District Magistrate, Sitamarhi has issued an order to temporarily ban educational activities in all private and government schools of the district under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code, 2023.
Everyone will have to follow orders
According to the order issued, regular teaching work will remain suspended from 22 December 2025 to 24 December 2025 for all classes up to class 12th including pre-schools, Anganwadi centres, coaching institutes under Sitamarhi district. The District Magistrate has clarified that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the health and safety of life of the children, so that any untoward incident due to cold can be avoided. The school management has been ordered to ensure strict compliance with this instruction.
There will be no hindrance in preparation for board exams
However, the administration has also clarified that the special classes and examinations being conducted for the preparation of pre-board and board exams will be exempted from this order. That means, activities related to the examination can be conducted as per the pre-determined schedule. Due to this, care has also been taken to ensure that the students preparing for the board exams do not suffer any kind of academic loss.
Take care of children in cold
A copy of this order has been sent to the Commissioner, Tirhut Division Muzaffarpur, Superintendent of Police, all sub-divisional officers, Block Development Officer, Police Station Head, District Education Officer and District Public Relations Officer. The District Public Relations Officer has been instructed to ensure wide publicity of the order, so that the information can reach the parents and school management on time. The administration has appealed to everyone to take special care of children during this cold period and take necessary precautions.
