Lucknow News: While inaugurating the Youth Cooperative Conference and UP Co-operative Expo 2025 held in Lucknow, State CM Yogi Adityanath said in his address that on this important occasion, the government is moving forward in the direction of implementing a new system for the farmers.
Lucknow: Yuva Sahakar Sammelan and UP Co-operative Expo 2025 were organized in the district on Sunday (December 21, 2025). State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present at the inauguration of this program. While addressing the program, the Chief Minister made a big announcement in the interest of the Annadata farmers of the state, which will directly benefit the small and marginal farmers.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that on this important occasion, the government is moving forward in the direction of implementing a new system for farmers. He told that the interest rate of loans available through Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Gram Vikas Bank LDB will be reduced. The Chief Minister clarified that now this loan will be made available to farmers at only 6 percent interest rate and the state government will contribute to it.
Small and marginal farmers will become financially strong
The Chief Minister said that the main objective of this decision is to economically empower small and marginal farmers. Under the Chief Minister Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, the government will provide loans to farmers at 6 percent interest rate through LDB. Whatever interest accrues beyond this will be paid by the state government itself. Its direct benefit will be that there will be no additional burden of interest on farmers.
Government will make farmers self-reliant
He said that the state government is continuously making efforts to increase the income of farmers and make them self-reliant. With the implementation of this scheme, farmers will be able to get cheap and easy loans for farming related works, so that they will be able to easily meet their needs. The Chief Minister also said that strengthening the farmers through cooperatives is the priority of the government. Through UP Cooperative Village Development Bank, the loan facility is being made simple and farmer friendly, so that the needy farmers can avail the benefits without any hassle.
This decision of the government will provide relief to lakhs of farmers of the state and investment in agriculture sector will also get a boost. Mukhyamantri Krishak Samridhi Yojana will prove to be an important step towards providing economic strength to the farmers and will also give a new impetus to the rural economy.
